Wedding: Kristine + Steven

Meet Kristine & Steven.
This loving, intelligent, and hard-working twosome were married over Labor Day weekend at Kristine's childhood home.  When we began working together eight months before their wedding day, that is all we knew: the venue.  But it was a beautiful place to start...
Kristine is an oncologist and her work schedule is incredibly intense.  She dedicated so much of her precious downtime (which most of us would use to catch up on sleep) focusing on the details of her wedding.  Steven, an actor and producer, is so creative and visual with his ideas... which I suppose is to be expected from someone who lives in the world of theatre.  The way these two compliment each other is perfection.
The first impression guests have of an event is the invitation, so guests for this wedding must have been expecting something stunning when they received their letterpress invite: champagne-toned cardstock, to match the bride's gown, with steel grey print and beveled edge to reflect the color of the groom's suit and the bridesmaids' dresses. The custom stationary also featured the couple's monogram logo.
The bridal party for this wedding featured eleven beautiful bridesmaids, twelve handsome groomsmen, four precious junior bridesmaids, seven awesome ushers, an adorable flower girl, and a cute-as-a-button ring bearer!
Early in the planning process, I asked Kristine and Steven what the most important aspect of their wedding was to them.  Their answer was that it be "profoundly joyful for everyone."  I couldn't imagine a better response than that... and I'm proud to say we made that wish come true.  This wedding was not only a gorgeous scene to behold, but it was meaningful, moving, and a true celebration for all!
One thing I learned very quickly about Kristine and Steven was that they are FOODIES... like serious foodie foodies.  So as only two foodies would have it, their menu was a delightful treat for the tastebuds.  Dinner featured five divine courses, served ballet-style by the wonderful staff.  Their guests had three different menus to choose from: Adventurous Carnivore, Conservative Carnivore, and Bold Vegetarian.
So many little girls dream of getting married in the place they call “home.” Not many get to make that dream come true. To me, a wedding at one’s childhood home is so special, so emotional that it makes that wedding and everything within that wedding truly unique.
Kristine is a music lover of all genres, plays the violin, and even sings Mariachi.  She and Steven wanted to incorporate great music for dancing into the reception.  The band kept everyone dancing and having a blast on the dancefloor until the very last moments of the night.
During the grand farewell, guests enjoyed fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies and milk as a surprise treat.  Then everyone lined up to cheer on the newlyweds before they departed in their vintage Rolls Royce.
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!
